Testing and inspection of Eurostampi soap dies


The expansion of our customers distributed in many areas of the world and the advancement of soap stamping technologies, ever more complex to achieve higher production capacities, prompted us to put in place practical post-production checks to ensure that the set meets all design specifications.
All tests and checks are carried out in order to ensure that all our customers, anywhere in the world, receive reliable sets, ready for production immediately so that all requests can be met in the best possible way, avoiding service interventions and downtime of production lines.
In this page we describe all tests that we make on our die sets, from the most complex to the simplest, without distinction. These inspections are made on the finished and assembled sets, because, even during the production phase, various dimensional controls are performed by CNC operators at each stage of production of all components.
There are three tests that are executed on the finished die set:
- Soap stamping test
- Control and recording of main dimensions
- Leak test of liquid and air cooling circuits

To do the practical test of stamping we are equipped with extruder , pneumatic press and high precision balance.
Soap molding test weight control The proof is carried out by heating the soap in the extruder, which is extruded with an eye plate of suitable size according to the type of soap, then stamped with the two half-dies mounted in the press, and weighed and measured for final check.

Mold size accuracy control
Mold size accuracy control For the verification of the dimensions we use a special ground marble worktop and digital instrument of precision 0,001mm, with this are also verified the thicknesses of holding plates, die sets and also the depths of the cavities , all measurements are noted on the drawings and saved for any subsequent orders of identical sets, in case of measurements out of design tolerance the pieces are reworked or if necessary redone.

Water and air pressure leak check
Check the pressure tightness of the soap die In order to avoid that, once arrived at the customer, liquid leaks may occur in the cooling circuit or the pressure losses of the air circuit that controls the ejectors, we have made die sets assembly bases that reproduce in their water and air connections all existing stampers on the market.
We test all the sets produced by us, from the simple single die with st. steel holding plate to the more complex, Binacchi USN 2650. For the verification, air at 6bar is fed into the cooling circuit, once the pressure has been reached the circuit is closed and the air disconnected , if the pressure has remained in the circuit the test is succeeded, instead, in case of leakage it is verified where the air escape occurs by disassembling the set and checking the sealing O-rings until the cause is found and the problem eliminated. For the part of the air circuit, pressure is applied in the base that reproduces the connections on the stamper so as to verify that all inserts operate correctly.
